If you want to get sci-fi'ish you could consider transitioning humans
or computer into a plasma state to get to the Sun. I'm not sure what good
it'd do you but I've seen it in sci fi and found it interesting. I think
my favorite example they send a sort of plasma computer into the sun and
infected the Sun to turn it into a giant super computer. Was sort of
weird. :)
